Pembroke Dock Hangar Annexes Restoration

Description of the goods or services required

The project consists of the renovation and refurbishment of three Grade II listed annex buildings and the demolition and reconstruction of one annex building located within Gate 1, Pembroke Port, to create commercial workshop and office accommodation. The project will include complete demolition and rebuilding of one large Annex and a new link building between two of the Annexes.

The project is part funded by the Swansea Bay City Deal, the Port of Milford Haven and WEFO grant funding, which has been secured. Given the contribution of public funds for the works, compliance with WEFO requirements will be mandatory for all stakeholders engaged in the project.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:

MHPA seek to support the European Regional Development Fund Cross Cutting Themes, in particular, tackling poverty through the construction process itself and are looking to the appointed Contractor to provide a range of Non-Core Community Benefits including Targeted Recruitment & Training, supply chain initiatives and social and environmental benefits.
