Description of the goods or services required

Hywel Dda University Health board has a tender requirement the supply and installation of proposed Fire Compartmentation & Fire doors within a Community Site, Llanelli.– Elizabeth William Clinic.

HDD will invite a selection of suitable, competent accredited & registered with a reputable third party FirAs organisation, such as the Association for Specialist Fire Stopping & compartmentation (AFSP) or similar, to quote for the undertaking of enclosing fire compartmentation of stairwell & new fire doors within its community site.

Proposed works, work to include:

To undertake enclosing stairwell & walkway from ground to 1st floor.

To undertake compartmenting stairwell & walkway with 60 minutes’ fire resisting material.

To fit new fire resisting doors to ground floor passageway at base of stairs & walkway.

Also, move existing fire doors in corridor towards waiting area of premise. (refer to plan)

Remove fire resisting glazing on first floor & replace with 60 minutes’ fire resisting material.

Renew & replace emergency lighting units inside stairwell.

Extend the fire alarm system to cover compartmented stairwell, in line with L2 -

5839 Part 1 system.
