Procurement of Sport Wales Consultants

Description of the goods or services required

Procurement of Sport Wales Consultants for the Foundations, Participation and Education Areas of Work.

We (Sport Wales) are looking to recruit up to 10 consultants to work with identified partners including local authorities, national governing bodies and wider partners to undertake a variety of roles, including (but not limited to):

• Facilitating and supporting national/regional discussions, planning and strategic thinking

• Developing partners understanding of a physical literacy informed approach/The nine conditions and embedding these approaches within policies, business plans and delivery models

Supporting the collaboration work conducted by Sport Wales with external partners

• Supporting partners with developmental work around the new Curriculum for Wales, specifically the Health and Wellbeing AoLE

• Supporting the translation of strategy into action

• Facilitating the sharing of learning and good practice across a range of partners

• Undertaking research and collecting insight to help inform future practices

• Producing evaluative reports to inform future practices.

Recruitment of up to 10 consultants.

The work package will amount to a maximum of 15 days per consultant per year.

Contract is for two years, to be reviewed at the end of each financial year.

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

It is essential that candidates have knowledge of:

1. Supporting organisations who work with children and young people in a range of settings including the community, pre-school settings, schools and grassroots sports clubs

2. Embedding a physical literacy informed approach in practice

3. Capturing insight and learning.

N.B. Consultants will be allocated to different priority areas dependent upon their skills and experience. Consultants do not need to specialise in all areas to apply to become a consultant, please reference your specialist skills and experience in the tender submission.
