Description of the goods or services required
We are seeking a supplier to produce annual reports testing our website against the WCAG 2.1 AA standard and to deliver internal training on accessibility best practices.

3 Conditions for Participation

Minimum standards and qualification required
1. Annual testing and subsequent report on the corporate website against the WCAG 2.1 AA standard and issues highlighted in previous reports. Findings can be achieved through a blend of automated tools and manual user testing. The subsequent report will outline issues and clear actions needed to address them to be fully compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA.
2. Annual testing and subsequent report on the following key strategic subsites and files of Sport Wales: (a) the Sport Wales Strategy, (b) Vision for Sport and (c) Strategic Equality Plan. Findings can be achieved through a blend of automated tools and manual user testing.
3. Guidance and actionable advice given on the following areas:
- The use of the accessibility menu on our corporate website.
- The use of PDFs and other documentation formats.
- The use of ‘disproportionate burden’ in relation to the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
- Best practice for accessibility and optimization for mobile users.
- Best practice on writing and updating Accessibility Statements.
4. Three one-hour training sessions delivered to Sport Wales staff on best practices in creating accessible online content on websites and social media, especially in the areas of using HTML webpages over other documentation formats (such as PDFs), alternative text and using semantic hierarchical elements.
