Abstract

The Welsh Government wishes to invite interested parties to bid to deliver the Wales and Africa small grants scheme for 3 years, running from 1 April 2022 until 31 March 2025. The Wales and Africa small grants scheme is a flagship initiative of the Welsh Government’s Wales and Africa programme. The scheme enables individuals, community groups and organisations in Wales to access funding to work with their African partners to deliver small-scale projects that contribute to Wales’ delivery of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and deliver mutual benefits to Wales and Africa. The Welsh Government is seeking to implement a simple and effective administrative model for the scheme which maximises the amount of funding reaching projects for the benefit of communities in Wales and in Africa. The successful bidder will distribute approximately 20 small grants per annum to support Wales and Africa projects. This contract is for the administration of the scheme only and the Client wants to assess bids that have proposed their own estimated budget cost to administer and monitor small grants, per annum (excluding VAT). The scheme will provide funding to projects in Wales that contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The scheme will provide funding to new and existing Wales and Africa projects. Special efforts may be required to ensure that the African diaspora community living in Wales and people with disabilities are fully included. This opportunity will be procured via competition run under the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) 'Grant Administration Services' Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS). Suppliers interested in bidding for this opportunity should register as a supplier on the above referenced DPS with Crown Commercial Services. Suppliers can register at: https://supplierregistration.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/organisation/register
