Project Brief

The Audio-Visual elements of the displays and galleries at National Slate Museum in Llanberis are due for a complete infrastructure upgrade to provide on-going service and reduced downtime at the museum. The systems and equipment in place are over well over 10 years old and following many years of remedial repairs and patching up by the museums in house technical team, downtime is becoming more frequent and many of the parts are obsolete and difficult to replace. This approach to maintenance is becoming unsustainable and therefore a complete upgrade of these systems is required.

To achieve this our Audio-Visual Technical Officer and Designer has produced a scheme of improvements across all the museums displays and galleries. Each area is unique with its own set of challenges, for which the proposed scheme hopes to solve.

To help us achieve this audio-visual upgrade project we will be looking to procure the services of a Specialist Audio Visual Contractor to take our scheme, develop the design and specification and deliver the installation of the new audio-visual systems and displays across the museum site.
