Abstract

Flintshire County Council are posting this notice to ascertain the level of interest in the market to provide the service/s detailed below in advance of a full tender exercise being carried out. If you feel you have the knowledge and expertise to deliver this service/s please contact katrina.shankar@flintshire.gov.uk 1) Arosfa Disability Short Breaks Service Arosfa offers short term residential breaks at regular and define intervals which includes overnight, mid-week and weekend stays for children and young people with profound disabilities. 2) Arosfa Residential Wing As part of the partnership with the previous provider, Flintshire worked together to expand and increase service capacity. Since May 2021 we have been able to offer up to 2 residential beds for children/young people. This service operates alongside the Disability Short Breaks Service. 3) Repatriation and Prevention (RAP) RAP works to intervene early and stabilise family home or foster placements in order to prevent placement breakdown or those who are suitable to be repatriated to their community in Flintshire. The Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014 brings together health, social services, the third sector and other partners to take forward the effective delivery of integrated services. It requires the local authority to work in partnership with individuals and their families and carers to ensure that services meet the care and support needs identified. 4) Flintshire Family Project The Family Project provides planned therapeutic interventions to families with children who are most likely to be as risk of harm or to be accommodated by the local authority. This is a highly specialised service delivered by a skilled team of counsellors skilled in a range of psychological therapies to intervene and support young victims of sexual and physical abuse or children who have witnessed serious domestic violence within their own home. These services support children and young people across Flintshire in keeping with the aspirations of the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales)Act 2014. Partners would share the vision to maintain social care values, increase integration and interaction between services and local communities by utilising commercial partnerships, social commitments and volunteer participatory agreements.

This is an exciting opportunity for a provider with expertise and a proven track record in providing similar services, to take ownership and transform a well-established and valued service, with skilled and experienced staff. The commissioned provider will continue to deliver high quality support and development for people, offering value for money and delivering outcomes to meet the needs of the local population
