Social Care Wales is currently in the process of reviewing the tools used to provide data, knowledge, and insight about social care in Wales in line with their Strategic Approach for Social Care Data in Wales. Aims and objectives We are seeking a Supplier to assist us in developing data assets that can be used in a publicly accessible data discovery tool that is due for launch in April 2022. We are specifically seeking data on the following theme: - Data on individuals with a learning disability who live in Wales. Priority should be given to developing routinely updated aggregate data wherever possible. Where necessary, Social Care Wales must be able to obtain permission from any 3rd party data publisher to import these data into our own tools either through an API or via manual upload. What is required / ‘The Requirements’ Knowledge and experience that would be beneficial to this role are: - Expert knowledge of high-quality sources of data on the topics outlined above. - Experience of developing datasets relating to health or care. - Experience or knowledge of technical aspects of automated data capture. - Methodical and organised and able to work to deadlines - Ability to communicate technical matters in an accessible (Plain English) format - Familiarity with data sharing processes would be helpful See Specification for more information

Description of the goods or services required

Social Care Wales is currently in the process of reviewing the tools used to provide data, knowledge, and insight about social care in Wales in line with their Strategic Approach for Social Care Data in Wales.

Suppliers will need to confirm they meet cyber security standards by being Cyber Essentials Accredited.

Welsh Language

Social Care Wales is a bilingual organisation and is with the Welsh Language Measure (Wales) 2011 Standards. In responding to the Tender, Suppliers should consider how their services would support the bilingual ethos of the organisation and compliance with Scheme and Standards.

The Supplier is required to carry out any engagement activity bilingually. It is crucial that you do not treat Welsh language materials any less favourably than you treat the English language versions.
