B757 - Replacement of Traffic Light Signals

Description of the goods or services required

Bridgend County Borough Council (BCBC) invites you to submit a Tender for the Replacement of Traffic Light Signals on Two (2) sites.

See below for a brief overview:

* Bridgend County Borough Council (BCBC) would like to welcome bids for the full replacement of Traffic Light Signals at the Two (2) junctions detailed below. The signal design is to remain the same and no layout changes are to take place.

* A473 – Park Street and Angel Street – Bridgend (See .pdf document: S1085 Layout - A473 Park Street & Angel Street).

* A473 – Broadlands and Bryngolau - Bridgend. (See .pdf document: S1093 Layout - A473 Broadlands & Bryngolau).

* Both junctions are ducted and currently have poltec pole retention systems. The ducting has been proven to be good but all pole retentions are to be upgraded to standard NAL type.

* All cables are to be replaced but this does not include detection cables.

* All civils work to replace retention sockets will be part of the contract along with any and all traffic management that will include part time signals. Roadworks and traffic management restrictions will be 09:30 to 15:30 or as agreed with BCBC Streetworks Department.

3 Conditions for Participation

Minimum standards and qualification required

The successful Tenderer shall be required to deliver the contract to the highest industry standards.

Contract Period:

• Award Date: Circa. 21st February 2022

• Contract Action (Mobilisation Period – 6-weeks): Circa. 22nd February 2022 To 5th April 2022.

• Contract Start Date: Circa. 6th April 2022. (7-weeks).

• Contract End Date: Circa. 20th May 2022.

• All dates to be mutually agreed.
