The main works on site relate to the partial removal of the Erbistock Mill weir to facilitate fish passage. This investigation comprises a structural and contamination assessment of the banks of the Afon Dee, weir and river channel.

The site investigation is required to provide information to assess the geotechnical, geo-environmental, geological and hydrogeological ground conditions. The investigation is a main investigation.

8 No. Hand dug inspection pits with disturbed sampling and in-situ testing (6 no independent hand pits, 2 associated with boreholes BH01 and BH02);

19 No.Hand operated TRL Dynamic Cone Penetrometer Tests with CBR correlation.
