Abstract

The service required is a customised “Leading for Safety Improvement Programme” that is designed to assist Director and Assistant Director level clinical individuals within NHS Wales to develop and implement systems of safe care. Due to notice for release for clinical staff, this programme is timetabled to commence early in the New Year 2022 and would be for 35 participants. The programme will be delivered and facilitated by internationally proven safety improvement experts and will enable participants who have responsibility for the safety of care in their organisation to: Use the skills they develop to lead and influence improvement work. Be equipped with the skills, theory, and practical tools critical to developing a successful patient safety strategy for their organisation. Be able to create the culture and conditions for improvement to flourish. Learn how to use diagnostics and measures to determine the safety of the participant's system. At the conclusion of this programme, participants will be able to develop and implement a plan to improve safety at a systems level.
