Abstract

Clearing of dense beech regen in a broadleaf woodland in the Elan valley just over 6 miles to the west of Rhayader, Grid ref SN91026489. This is an area of c. 3ha within a larger woodland where beech saplings have seeded and grown very close together. The successful supplier will cut these at the base using a chainsaw, and stack the resultant brash in stable piles which are not touching the base of any trees. Period: before end February 2022
