Abstract

The Llanarth Estate owns privately let homes and farms as well as a large amount of agricultural land and forestry. Llanarth is a privately owned estate village and community within a conservation area in the Welsh county of Monmouthshire. As a responsible landlord and landowner, we wish to bring the homes we rent up to the best achievable energy rating to reduce tenant’s energy costs as well as reducing the entire estates carbon emissions. To achieve this, we wish to employ suitably qualified and experienced consultants to carry out three lots of work. These will cover recommendations to improve the energy ratings of the homes and farmhouses on the estate, reduce the energy use and carbon emissions from farm buildings and processes, and to investigate opportunities for renewable heat and energy generation.
