An award of a contract was made on behalf of Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee (WHSSC) for the provison of Proton Beam Therapy (PBT) at the Rutherford Cancer Care (RCC) LTD.
Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee (WHSSC) sought to commission Proton Beam Therapy services for adult patients from South Wales so that they may receive cancer treatment closer to home. Such an approach will have patient and cost benefits. The basic requirement is for a range of Proton Beam Treatments as dictated by WHSSC as commissioners of the service in Wales.
Prices will be fixed for the duration of the agreement from 9th April 2021 to 8th April 2022.
