Description of the goods or services required

TfW has appointed Amey Infrastructure Wales (AIW) as the Managing Agent, to work with TfW to transform the Wales and Borders Rail Service. AIW will support TfW in developing and implementing plans for, the South Wales Metro.

Amey Infrastructure Wales (AIW) is carrying out a procurement exercise to procure Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) under a bespoke framework agreement and bespoke call off contract.

This mini tender seeks to appoint one (1) supplier to provide materials which make up the structural small part steelwork (SPS) of a rail OLE system for the Core Valley Lines to route section Radyr to Pontypridd (R2P) for construction units 4-12 (CU4-CU12).

The materials are required to facilitate the electrification of the CVL. The CVL electrification is required to provide a more efficient and faster rail infrastructure and to support the wider CVL upgrades & enhancements and a new rolling fleet.
