Carriageway Lining and Road Studs Framework 2022-2024

Description of the goods or services required

The Vale of Glamorgan Council (“the Council”) requires the supply of Highway Construction resources to undertake various construction works on the highways throughout the Vale of Glamorgan area (“the Works”).

Any future agreement will be in the form of a framework and will operate for a period of two (2) years, with the option to extend for up to an additional one (1) year.

The Council undertakes various highway improvements works for a vast range of clients, ranging from Minor Highway Improvement works (up to £1,000) to Major Highway Construction schemes (over £1,000,000 per scheme). The Council now requires Carriageway Lining Gangs to provide the application of carriageway markings and the removal and installation of road studs in accordance with the Council’s framework agreement for the provision of goods, services or works.

The Council intends to appoint a number of suppliers to the framework. The successful Suppliers will be ranked and Work will be distributed in ranking order and dependent upon Supplier availability and at the Council’s discretion.
