UWTSD2122/174. Strength and Conditioning Gym Exercise Equipment and Specialist Flooring at Carmarthe

Description of the goods or services required

The University of Wales Trinity Saint David (hereinafter referred to as the University, or UWTSD) is inviting bids from suitably experienced and qualified Contractors to undertake the supply and installation of a range of strength and conditioning exercise equipment, specialist flooring and all associated works.

All equipment is to be installed at the Carmarthen Campus within a timber framed and aluminium cladded building and the University aims for project completion by 10 June 2022. There are modification works planned for the building between the 21 March 2022 and 20 May 2022 to ensure it is a suitable environment to house a strength and conditioning gym. It is therefore envisaged that the flooring and equipment would be installed between the 23 May and 10 June 2022.

The solution must be to industry standards in order to provide maximum benefits to its users and be fully compliant with all applicable legislation.

The appointment will be by a process of competitive tender. The University invites tenders subject to the attached Contract, Specifications and other documents for the above project. The University’s approach to competitive tendering is one of fairness and its primary objective is to achieve the Best Value for Money in the provision of its Services.
