Abstract

The Young People’s Village (YPV) comprises of an entertainment arena and campsite provided by the Wales Federation of Young Farmers (YFC) for young people attending the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show. It is situated on land at Court Farm, Builth Road, Builth Wells, approximately 1 mile north of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Showground on the A470. The campsite accommodates up to 4,500 young people, all of whom have free access to the Entertainment arena, in which the bar will be located. Entertainment is provided within the arena over four days, 8pm – 2.00am, with a maximum capacity each evening of 4,000 (Sunday - Wednesday). Attendees comprise of both campsite customers, YFC members and some general public. The 2022 YPV will be open to YFC Members only aged 16 – 17 years. Bookings made by anyone aged 18 years or over, at least half of the booking party must be current YFC Members. The entertainment arena will be open from 8pm each evening to YFC Members aged 16 – 17 years and anyone aged 18 years and over. The premises license is held by Wales YFC. Wales YFC will provide a covered area to accommodate the bar and will also supply mains water and electricity. Wales YFC invites fixed sum offers from companies who wish to run the bar for the four days of the YPV, between 20:00hrs and 02:00hrs for the operating year 2022.
