Description of the goods or services required

The Vale of Glamorgan Council (“the Council”) requires the delivery of a comprehensive Events programme based on a number of identified key themes, in line with current WG Covid-19 Event legislation. (“the services”).

The Council is seeking to appoint external organisations with previous relevant experience in this field to work with in partnership with in delivering the Events programme for 2022/23.

In summary, the 2022/23 events programme aims to:

• Support the economy of the Vale’s Town Centres, Coastal destinations and Country Parks

• Provide a combination of lower impact events alongside high impact, high footfall events

• Extend the traditional visitor season

• Provide innovative opportunities for visitors/residents to enjoy the Vale

In all cases, the Event organisers must demonstrate the ability to develop events within a safe environment where numbers can be controlled (particularly at high footfall events), and Covid-19 legislation adhered to at all times.
