LED Lighting Upgrade - S Block Cyncoed Campus

Description of the goods or services required

Cardiff Metropolitan University is seeking a provider to carry out the supply and installation of new LED lighting in the Sports Hall, located in S Block of the Cyncoed Campus (CF23 6XD).

The works will need to ensure minimum disruption to staff, students and visitors.

The University will liaise closely with the successful contractor in respect of ensuring access in and out of the sites is maintained during the works to ensure business continuity.

The successful contractor will be required to supply and install new LED Lighting in the Sports Hall at the University’s S Block on the Cyncoed Campus.

The University requires the existing infrastructure to be used, including existing distribution boards and cabling.

All works are to be carried out via a MEWP or scaffolding platform.

Scope of works:

- Isolate electrical supplies and safely remove all existing fittings, retaining all

wiring and brackets which are to be reused.

- Install 47 Standard and 7 Emergency LED Cricket Luminaire mounted at 7.4m with switching to offer 1500lx (National Cricket), 750lx (Badminton/MUGA) and 500lx (Exams/Lectures/Cleaning). This will be achieved by using wireless switching/scene setting.

- Automatic sensor control to ensure lighting switches off during periods of unoccupancy

- Upgrade the emergency lighting set up to ensure compliance by using integrated emergency luminaires.

- Replace 5x battens located on the balcony

- Re-energise all circuits and carry out electrical testing

- Carry out lux report and staff training on new installation

- Clear site and hand back to the University

- Provide test sheets and Operation and Maintenane (O&M) manual to the University
