Design and Construction of Parc Penallta Visitor Centre

Description of the goods or services required

Caerphilly County Borough Councils Building Consultancy team are in the process of developing a tender for the design and construction of of Parc Penallta Visitor Centre, Penallta Road. Hengoed.

The proposal at the present time is that it will be for the construction of a single storey Main Building consisting of the Climate Change Learning Hub, Cafeteria, Kitchen, Exhibition space, Toilets and showers and baby change, Electrical and plant rooms.

The project will include external works, infrastructure, fit out and ancillary works on the plateau created for the Visitor Centre circa 2011

The design shall be to BIM Level 2 (In which we will be looking to the Main Contractor to prepare a BEP for the project. The contract strategy is JCT Design and Build based upon well developed

employer’s requirements (to old RIBA Stage D/E or new Stage 3/4).

The contractor shall price for designing and constructing the project fully in accordance with the Employers Requirements. No design information or

alternative proposals are required at tender submission stage.
