Abstract

Aberystwyth Luminescence Research laboratory in the Department of Geography and Earth Sciences wishes to procure an automated mineral analyser capable of producing chemical maps for geological samples (especially slices of rocks and flat surfaces of unlithified sediments such as split sediment cores), and then to have the ability to automatically classify the sample and map the occurrence of different minerals in the samples.
