Abstract

The School of Medicine, Cardiff University requires various medical equipment for teaching purposes. The Centre for Medical Education (C4ME) currently relies on other organisations, such as Welsh Ambulance Service Trust, to provide their equipment on a voluntary basis for our teaching scenarios. The University requires the following medical equipment for teaching purposes: Bidders may bid for both lots. Lot 1 Infant Airway Management Model – Qty 7 Paediatric Intubation Trainer – Qty 3 Adult Airway Management Model - Qty 12 Manikin which is durable and rugged with realistic articulation and can be intubated. For extrication and rescue purposes – Qty 4 Set of interchangeable trauma modules for extrication/rescue manikin which can be used to add realism to first aid scenarios including burns, impalement, lacerations, fractures and crushing to name a few - Qty 3 Set of approximately 30 lay-on wounds to simulate for example scalp laceration, facial burns, gunshot, stab wound, impalement, blood splats – Qty 1 Lot 2 Visually realistic adult female manikin – Should be capable of advance life support, ventilation, needle decompression and CPR. Should also feature flexible limbs, eyelid movement, hair (wig) and available in various skin tones – Qty 1 Visually realistic adult male manikin – for teaching and learning of emergency medical skills. The University requires the following medical equipment for teaching purposes:

Infant Airway Management Model – Qty 7

Paediatric Intubation Trainer – Qty 3

Adult Airway Management Model - Qty 12

Manikin which is durable and rugged with realistic articulation and can be intubated. For extrication and rescue purposes – Qty 4

Set of interchangeable trauma modules for extrication/rescue manikin which can be used to add realism to first aid scenarios including burns, impalement, lacerations, fractures and crushing to name a few - Qty 3

Set of approximately 30 lay-on wounds to simulate for example scalp laceration, facial burns, gunshot, stab wound, impalement, blood splats – Qty 1

Lot 2

Visually realistic adult female manikin – Should be capable of advance life support, ventilation, needle decompression and CPR. Should also feature flexible limbs, eyelid movement, hair (wig) and available in various skin tones – Qty 1

Visually realistic adult male manikin – for teaching and learning of emergency medical skills. Should be capable of advanced life support, be ventilatable, have eyelid movement, flexible limbs – Qty 1
