Tai Tarian is seeking to appoint One Contractor to undertake works to Boundary Walls, Fencing, Paths, Clearance and Miscellaneous Associated Works which will include re-positioning existing boundaries and creating new boundaries. Works involve approximately 700m of fencing and 850m2 of brickwork.

The works will be carried out in Coed Y Pergwm and Plas Y Coed, Glynneath (SA11 5SA) consisting of 55 properties consisting of 8 blocks of flats and 1 bungalow:

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:

Tai Tarian is committed to contributing to the social, economic and environmental well-being of the wider community. Consequently Community Benefits clauses will be a mandatory contract clause. Therefore, as a minimum requirement, Tenderers will have to agree that community benefits will become part of the contract and as such, a minimum 1% cash donation will be required. This increases to a minimum of 1.5% for contract values in excess of £250,000. All funding to be utilised on this project.

The buyer considers that this contract is suitable for consortia bidding.
