Tai Tarian has made a commitment to achieving net zero by 2030.

Our Corporate Plan sets out objectives that will allow us to achieve this, all of which are under three themes:

• Sustainable Homes

• Sustainable Communities

• Sustainable Planet

Reducing carbon emissions and supporting biodiversity are key themes within our Plan. Our approach to achieving this will be around efficiency, cleaner energy and for what cannot be reduced, offsetting.

Throughout all solutions will be our commitment to align with the circular economy and support the foundational economy.

Tai Tarian intend appointing a Property Technical Consultant for a period of three years to assist with achieving this.

The consultant’s role will be responsible to the Property Technical Manager.

The purpose of the role is to contribute to the delivery of the organisation’s Corporate Plan. The particular focus will be on improving the efficiency and reducing carbon emissions from dwellings through the development of new properties and retrofitting exiting properties.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:

Tai Tarian is committed to contributing to the social, economic and environmental well-being of the wider community. Consequently Community Benefits clauses will be a mandatory contract clause. Therefore, as a minimum requirement, Tenderers will have to agree that community benefits will become part of the contract.

The buyer considers that this contract is suitable for consortia bidding.
