Partial refurbishment of an occupied Community Facility.

Reconfiguration and fit-out of Female, Male and Wheelchair WC's.

Kitchen refurbishment including new equipment and hygienic surfaces.

Replacement aluminium windows and doors.

Clearance of debris to rainwater gutters, replace fascia’s and soffits. N.B Eaves on three tiered storey.

Cwmbran Centre for Young People (CCYP) is a Training Facility and Drop in Centre’ for young people. We offer a wide range of training, services and activities to support young people to develop life skills and gain qualifications. CCYP particularly supports Young People who are unemployed, living alone or homeless, alcohol/drug dependent, young parents, carers or offenders and/or have high levels of behavioural issues/emotional problems. The Centre provides recreational, educational and social activities, information and support including counselling and mentoring.

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

Site personnel are to provide a current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) basic check within the last three years.

Main Contractor to hold an All Risks Construction Insurance Policy covering a single contract value of at least £200,000.00p

Works are time sensitive. The allocated Grant funds must be expended, claimed and drawn down prior to the closure of the EU Funding on 31 December 2022. Therefore the Contract Works Works must be completed and Practical Completion signed off prior to the 19 December 2022 at the very latest to clear funding.

Each Contractor will we deemed to have visited the site to fully understand the nature of the works, taking in all site restrictions and including any mitigation within their fixed price tender.

The works will be undertaken in Community Facility that will still be in operation during the contract works. The majority of users are

juvenile, some are also vulnerable and others may have learning or other disability.
