The Vale of Glamorgan Council (“the Council”) requires footpath construction work on a public right of way (“the Works”).

You are invited to quote for the provision of these Works.

Total quantity or scope of tender

The footpath is located near the village of Dinas Powys in the Vale of Glamorgan and provides an important link to the wider countryside. (see location plan). The path surface is made up of stone/chippings which have become eroded due to heavy pedestrian traffic, and the original timber edging board installed to support the original path construction have eroded away, the path also falls away towards an adjacent water course.

The path is subject to flooding following heavy rain, water collects in depressions/rutted areas along the length of the path and does not drain away, and as a result the path becomes very muddy and is unusable during any prolonged wet periods.
