Request for Expressions Of Interest: Caldicot Links Phase 1 construction

Monmouthshire County Council (MCC) is seeking Expressions of Interest for its Caldicot Links – Construction Phase.

MCC will later this year be inviting tenders from prospective contractors for delivery of Stage 2 of the construction of the Phase 1 section of its Caldicot Links Active Travel Route, in Caldicot, Monmouthshire, approximate postcode NP26 4HU.

Stage 2 to be completed by 31st March 2023 will include: Creation of the sub-base layer and drainage system along main route of Phase 1 (excluding the ramps and access linkages), to include setting up of construction compound and any additional clearance and site preparation works as required.

Stage 2 estimated cost is circa £600,000 ex VAT.

(A follow on Stage 3 is aiming to be completed between 1st April 2023 and 31st March 2024, subject to additional funding being secured by MCC. To include: creation of ramps and access linkages, top dressing of whole route and landscape works. Stage 3 estimated cost is circa £1,100,000 ex VAT. This will be part of a separate tender process in the new year.)

This request for EOI's relates to Stage 2 only.
