II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Independent Reviewing Officer must be knowledgeable and trained for the role and shall (full description within the procurement documents)
be qualified in Social Work and be registered with Social Care Wales
be an authoritative professional with experience similar to an experienced Social Work Team Manager
have the ability to demonstrate a good understanding and professional knowledge and experience in working with Children Looked After, children with a Care and Support Plan and Child Protection
have extensive knowledge of legal framework of planning for children as set out in Section 99 of the Social Services and Wellbeing Act 2014, Care Planning, Placement and Case Review (Wales) Regulations 2015
be trained and skilled in chairing meetings in a way that encourages constructive participation whilst maintaining a clear focus on the welfare of the child and the decisions that need to be taken
be familiar with Torfaen Corporate, Recovery Plan 2021 to 2023, , Wales Safeguarding Procedures , and Reviewing and Monitoring of a Child or Young Person’s Part 6 Care and Support Plan
Social Services and Wellbeing Act 201 and Care Planning, Placement and Case Review (Wales) Regulations 2015
