Abstract

Gofer bulking station receives kerbside collected recycling material from all domestic properties within the county (~57,000 properties). The site also receives recycling from Conwy’s commercial recycling collection service. The material received at the site remains unchanged since operations commenced in 2011. Cans and plastics are collected together at the kerbside and then deposited together at Gofer where the materials are separated in preparation for recycling. CCBC wish to explore the development of this site through procuring a multi-disciplinary design team who will work concurrently on two designs fulfilling duties up to the end of RIBA Stage 3. CCBC will then select one of the two design schemes to be taken through RIBA Works Stages 4-7. See tender documents for further details.

2.2 Description of the goods or services required
