Construction works and equipment for extension to abittoir

Description of the goods or services required

We require a lump sum, fixed price to complete the detailed technical design and construct the extension to RIBA stage 6 (Handover). This includes taking on the management of Health and Safety, including Principal Designer and Principal Contractor roles.

The project must be fully compliant with all regulations and legislation including planning consent (ref 21/1244/PA), building regulation and environmental, and Food Standards Agency regulations for abattoirs and meat processing facilities.

We require a start on site by 06th Jan 2023 and the fixed completion date for the work and handover of site to the client for use is the 30th June 2023

The below work is to be included as part of the quotation price:

• Preliminaries including site security, welfare facilities and waste management

• All excavation, civils, ground work and extension foundations

• External works as shown

• The external and internal building fabrication work

• Steel frame, cladding, external doors and windows

• Mechanical, electrical and public services works including plumbing, drainage, electrics, fire alarm, security system, data system and all other MEP services

• Hygienic, slip resistant flooring finishes in all areas

• Cold room wall panelling and doors

• Refrigeration installation

• Railwork for carcase handling system

• All other internal fittings

• Commissioning and testing of all equipment

• Provision of a full Operation and Maintenance pack at handover including all manuals, completion and compliance certification, and H&S documentation

Fixed price quotations for the above are required in the following format:

1. To be on your company’s headed document showing Your business name, address, company reg and vat numbers.

3. Quotations are to be fixed price, PC sums, Budget Costings and Estimates are not acceptable

4. Please include an outline programme for the project

5. Please include details of your recent experience on relevant projects

6. Please confirm that you hold the necessary insurance cover. If successful, we will require a copy of your insurance policy to ensure the works and any associated risks to the existing structure are covered until the project is complete

7. Please include confirmation that there are no conflicts of interest between your business and ours including any between key members of staff
