Description of the goods or services required
Rhonnda Cynon Taff CBC are seeking expressions of interest from suitable providers who are able to deliver a ‘Carer's Respite Service’ for disabled children.
Our current contract will expire at the end of September 2023 and the Council will look to enter into a new contract, following a procurement process thereafter.
Our goal is to ensure that disabled children have the same opportunities in life as their non-disabled peers, a service that will enable them to access community services and be supported to make and meet friends, connect with their community and access new opportunities whilst developing their independent skills. The delivery of the Services will contribute to the Wellbeing Outcomes that the Local Authority is required to meet under the Social Services & Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014
The service would provide:
-Caring for the child within their own home whilst the parent/carer is outside of the home.
-Deliver a quality service that support to the individual to enable them to achieve the identified outcome in line with the care and support plan by appropriately trained staff
-Support the child to access activities in the community
-Supporting parent/carer with personal care of the child.
--Supporting the child/young people social integration and independence, providing emotional and social support
The commissioned contract provider will be required to be registered to provide support to children and young people aged 0 -18 who have a physical or learning disability or life limiting condition.
The service will need to be provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to include Bank Holidays and Weekends, between the hours of 6:30am and 11:00pm and a night sitting service between the hours of 11:00pm and 6:30am
Hours to be provided weekly amount to approx. 180 hours, hours will be allocated through the council Resource allocation panel
The provider must maintain CSSIW registration for the Services to provided under this Contract at all times during its term. |
