Description of the goods or services required
Menter Ty’n Llan Cyf have recently secured Development Funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF).
The Society seeks tenders for the provision of an experienced organisation / individual to develop the interpretation plan for the NLHF funded project ‘Menter Ty’n Llan.’
The NLHF application will focus on:
i) Engaging new audiences with this our heritage through engaging interpretation and a programme of activities & events.
ii) Developing a viable and resilient organisation
iii) Providing valued community services & wellbeing benefits
iv) Making the area a better place to live, work, and visit.
v) Improve the condition of our heritage, culture, and language.
vi) Provide opportunities for individuals to develop skills.
The Interpretation Plan is an integral and required document that will need to be submitted as part of our final application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund. However, the purpose of the plan is much more than a technical requirement to acquire funding. It is a strategic plan that will underpin the interpretation strategy on the organisation for the foreseeable future.
The development of a central interpretation plan will ensure that there is a coordinated, coherent and consistent approach to interpretation running through our project and the wider activities of the organisation, and enable us to develop a distinctive identity and strong sense of place rooted in the local heritage landscape. The plan should consider how the community’s heritage landscape & features can be interpreted, and its stories told for the benefit of both visitors and local communities.
