Description of the goods or services required

Transport for Wales (TfW) has a Social and Commercial Development Plan aimed at bringing under-utilised or disused spaces at stations back into use for social and commercial purposes.

TfW are now delivering Phase 2 of the programme with this first

lot covering 2no. stations at Abergele & Pensarn and Colwyn Bay (Platform 1).

The project requires building fabric refurbishment inclusive of mechanical, civils

and electrical works to bring the station buildings back into use.

In conjunction with this procurement exercise, TFWRL is running a parallel procurement for similar works in South Wales (SCDP Phase 2 South).

Whilst these procurements will be assessed in isolation, if a single contractor is successful in both North and South procurements, Upon consultation with the supplier, TFWRL reserves

the right to award a single contract under the same terms and conditions as provided within this ITT.

There will be an optional return section within the ITT documentation, where we will ask you whether you are able to provide a discount percentage against your total tendered prices of being awarded both contracts.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:
