Title

The Supply of Excavator with Driver for the Vale of Glamorgan Council 2023 -2024

Description of the goods or services required

The Vale of Glamorgan Council (“the Council”) requires the supply of a mechanical excavator(s) with a shovel at the front and a digging arm at the rear (e.g. JCB) and driver to undertake various construction works on the highways throughout the Vale of Glamorgan area (“the Works”).

Any future agreement will be in the form of a framework and will operate for a period of one (1) year, with the option to extend for up to an additional one (1) year.

Additional Information

All excavator operators must be appropriately trained (e.g. CITB [CPCS]), with experience of hydraulic fitments and the following excavators:

• excavator 180 below 5t;

• excavator 360 below 5t;

• excavator 180 above 5t;

• excavator 360 above 5t,

to undertake various highway related construction schemes on the highway network within the Vale of Glamorgan.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council has declared a Climate and Nature emergency and is committed to working with suppliers that contribute to our journey towards Net Zero Carbon.

Tenders may be submitted in Welsh and will be treated no less favourably than a tender submitted in English.
