The consolidation of the All-Wales Medical Genomics Service's Illumina Cambridge maintenance contracts. Incumbent supplier Illumina Cambridge currently have several machinery and equipment within the service that requires annual service agreements. This contract is for the alignment of the current contracts to ensure continuity going forward with one start date.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The consolidation of Illumina Cambridge Maintenance Contracts, on equipment owned by the All-Wales Medical Genomics Service based within the Cardiff and Vale Health Board.
Incumbent supplier Illumina Cambridge are the only viable option for the maintenance of their machines, hence this procurement will be a single award. The consolidation of the maintenance contracts will provide continuity going forward and one start date for a new combined contract.
The below maintenance contracts will be consolidated for the 2023/24 financial year:

The procurement falls outside the scope of application of the Directive
Explanation:
The award for the consolidation of maintenance contracts provided by Illumina Cambridge are the incumbent supplier of the service carried out for the Cardiff & Vale Health Board. This award is for the consolidation of contracts, ending the current maintenance contracts on the 31st March 2024. Providing one clear start date for maintenance contracts provided by supplier Illumina Cambridge going into the 2024/25 financial year. Hence no call for prior competition was made to the wider European market.
