Abstract

In preparation for an upcoming procurement exercise, Bridgend County Borough Council are looking to speak to high-quality service providers, who have knowledge or experience of delivering supported temporary accommodation and/or substance misuse supported housing projects. The first element of the service to be procured will respond to the needs of and support service users with housing related support needs, whom the Local Authority have agreed to accommodate on a temporary basis. A second element of the service will provide supported accommodation to those with a history of substance misuse or alcohol issues. In particular the Local Authority is seeking to engage with providers who have experience in delivering an abstinence based project and/or ‘wet’ house type provision. All elements of service provision will be expected to provide intensive, meaningful and structured support to enable service users to address or minimise support needs, enabling successful move on to suitable, independent and sustainable settled accommodation An engagement event is intended, to seek the views of providers on a 1-1 basis to identify innovative/specialist ways of working. The provider event will take place on Monday 3rd April between 10 – 1.30 offering 30-minute slots via teams. If there is a great deal of interest, we will consider offering further dates.
