Abstract

DHCW required organisational membership with the British Computer Society (BCS) for 350 staff members. Workforce and OD carried out an environmental scan of the market and the majority of NHS staff members have to register with a professional body/service in order to practice. Within the IT profession there is only one professional body, BCS, who have now become part of the Federation of Informatics Professionals working towards the registration and professionalism of Health Informatics across the UK, therefore a Single Tender Action was undertaken.
