Window replacement to Hirwaun Building, Treforest Campus - Re Tender

Description of the goods or services required

To remove existing, supply and fit new Kawneer (or equivalent) windows to Hirwaun (H) Block, Treforest Campus. Windows to be constructed to the relevant British Standards and Building Regulation Approved Documents (Wales).

Total quantity or scope of tender

To remove existing, supply and fit new Kawneer (or equivalent) windows to Hirwaun (H) Block, Treforest Campus. Windows to be constructed to the relevant British Standards and Building Regulation Approved Documents (Wales).

Windows to be fitted with stainless steel friction stays with Espag or shoot bolt locking handles, resealable restrictors and trickle vents in line with current regulations (Min 2000ml). Handles and Trickle Vents to be agreed with USW Estates prior to purchase.

Glazing to be tinted; 28mm double glazed sealed units. 16mm argon filled cavity.

Beading internally, finish colour to be confirmed following contractor appointment.

Windows to be stored and installed as per manufacturer’s instructions.

To include for removal and reinstatement of external cladding around the windows.

To include for the removal, safe storage and reinstatement of internal fittings (ie blinds) where required

Include for removing and reinstating heads, reveals and cills including all making good to these areas be included in costs.

To include for the removal and replacement of extractor fans to WC’s where required. New fans as per the specification to be installed in a like-for-like position in the glass.

Fulfill the requirements of the project in full;

Provide the information as requested in the quality assessment criteria. Robust and full answers must be provided;

Meet the window performance specification issued;

Meet the critical programme deadline;

Hold the relevant level of insurances, as stipulated and provide evidence of;

Undertake a site visit;

Fully price up the tender as stipulated in the tender return
