Abstract

Bridgend County Borough Council (BCBC) invites you to submit a Tender for the Main Contractor Services for the Caerau Energy Efficiency Scheme. BCBC intends appointing a Lead Contractor to fully undertake and assume full responsibility for the delivery of the Contract, in close liaison with the Authority’s Appointed Person(s). Brief Description: To deliver the requirements of the contract, Bridgend County Borough Council (BCBC) need to appoint a suitably experienced Principal Contractor to undertake remediation works on up to 104 homes in Caerau, Maesteg. The remediation work is required to address some legacy issues created through previous domestic energy efficiency schemes delivered in 2013 in Caerau. The Principal Contractor will be required to undertake the works in accordance with the PAS: 2035 specification for ‘whole-house’ retrofit and to install the new Energy Efficiency Measures (EEMs) in accordance with PAS: 2030 (2019). The Principal Contractor will be responsible for the appointment of the Retrofit Designer and Retrofit Co-ordinator who will be suitably qualified with a minimum Level 5 Diploma or equivalent from a certified training body. Contract Terms and Conditions: The Contract shall be the Institution of Civil Engineers NEC4 Term Service Contract. Please also refer to the NEC4 Term Service Contract Scope document. Bridgend County Borough Council (BCBC) invites you to submit a Tender for the Main Contractor Services for the Caerau Energy Efficiency Scheme.
