Working with the project teams, the successful supplier will be required to produce the following outputs:
Organise and manage the Creu Conwy ‘Cultural Conversation’ from inception to completion. This will involve identifying representative partners, invitees and speakers to attend a gathering of around 40 local arts, heritage and culture organisations around the shared theme of identifying capacity building priorities and common issues facing the sector. This will inform the work of the remainder of the capacity building commission
Work with at least 15 independent cultural organisations to produce a training plan for each organisation based on their needs and priorities.
Source development opportunities that provides upskilling for a minimum of 80 individuals from independent cultural organisations over the lifetime of the SPF project. Peer-to-Peer training and knowledge exchange is a key element of the project and we welcome the commissioning of local heritage, arts and culture organisations to deliver training based on their specialist areas of work or particular strengths.
Organise a minimum of 5 familiarisation visits for independent cultural organisations to other towns, sites and venues for the purpose of learning from other projects and areas as well as identifying new knowledge transfer opportunities and partnerships. As a whole, the project is anticipating that 15 local cultural organisations will be supported to make or renew links with at least 60 organisations outside the county.
Map and review relevant local, regional and national cultural forums, identify gaps and develop a sustainable approach for a joined up and well connected cultural sector in Conwy. For example, exploring if there is a need for Conwy’s Heritage Forum to be reconvened or reinvented as a wider cultural forum.
Review the progress of the Town Team model to date and identify recommendations for the future continuation, transition or winding down of groups depending upon the findings of this review, providing support to each town team to prepare for the end of the SPF project and the winding down of the culture strategy.
Support the recruitment and retention of volunteers through the concurrent Amdani! Conwy volunteering infrastructure project
In delivering this work, the successful supplier will work closely with the other strands of the project, and will be in close contact with the project team, which consists of a number of heritage, library and arts professionals. The successful supplier will also be required to work closely with the appointed Social Impact Evaluator throughout the project and collect data according to set parameters in line with the project’s Theory of Change
In carrying out this work, the supplier will be expected to take an active role in meeting face to face with organisations for the purposes of networking and supporting their development. You will also be expected to attend an in-person meeting of the SPF project team every 8 weeks as a minimum.
