Abstract

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board who are seeking to award a contract for the provision of insourcing of Radiology Ultrasound Clinics. Cardiff and Vale University Health Board require a service provider in radiology diagnostic procedures to assist in meeting urgent referrals due to treatment targets as defined by the Welsh Government. The requirements are the provision of Sonographer, Health Care Assistant and Ultrasound machine resource to support the delivery of Non-Obstetric Ultrasound (NOUS) clinics during weekdays, evening and / or weekends in accordance with room availability. Cardiff and Vale University Health Board wish to work with an insourcing provider who can provide suitably qualified sonographers. They must be fully skilled, appropriately qualified personnel and provide evidence of a competency-based training package to ensure they have the required knowledge and skills to deliver safe and effective practice. The following range of procedures will be required within the scope of this contract alongside the estimated volumes - Gynaecology – including transabdominal and transvaginal to assess uterus, ovaries and adnexa - General abdominal – including assessment of the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas, spleen, kidneys and abdominal aorta - Renal and bladder - Scrotal / testicular (if high def probe available)

1. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to award the contract in whole, in part or annul the tendering process and not award any contract.

2. Bidders should note that they will be required to enter into terms and conditions of contract as set out in the ITT and that save for matters of clarification or consistency the Contracting Authority will not negotiate the terms.

3. The Contracting Authority will not accept completed ITT's after the stated closing date.

4. All documents to be priced (where applicable) in sterling and all payments made in sterling.

5. All tender costs and liabilities incurred by bidders shall be the sole responsibility of the bidders.
