Abstract

This contract seeks to procure for a service to support professional learning around curriculum design coherent with process orientated Curriculum for Wales. The service is to include asynchronous and synchronous professional learning that supports school improvement services and practitioners in Wales to design effective curriculum coherent with Curriculum for Wales. The requirements of this contract include: -Design of an asynchronous learning tool to support self-directed and collaborative learning, accurate use of the Curriculum for Wales Framework and subsequent guidance and high-quality professional learning coherent with Welsh Government policy. This is expected to build on the supporting materials from the Camau i’r Dyfodol research project with Welsh Government. -Design a programme of process orientated Curriculum Design Professional Learning for school improvement services and practitioners. Design and facilitate alongside WG, professional learning for all school improvement partners, Estyn and QW in the process of practical curriculum design, coherent with a process orientated curriculum, and understanding expectations for curriculum design within Curriculum for Wales. Mixture of in person and hybrid working across a 12-month period to ensure that as these key individuals work with schools, they recognise the change in expectations around curriculum design that will bring cohesion to the reform.

A budget range of £30,000 - £35,000 excluding VAT is available for the purposes of this contract and over the initial 12 month contract period. If invoked, The Client will make a further budget of £30,000 - £35,000 excluding VAT for the 12 month extension period.
