Abstract

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is looking for forward thinking and innovative General Practitioners to take over the General Medical Services Contract of Betws y Coed Surgery in the county of Conwy. The practice is situated in the rural village of Betws y Coed, offering services between 8am and 6.30pm, Monday to Friday. The surgery is located within the pro-active Conwy-West Cluster, which comprises a total of 11 practices – all being GMS contracts. The surgery provides primary care services for approximately 2,700 people and currently has three part time GPs supported by two Practice Nurses, two Health Care Assistants and an administrative team. Betws y Coed Surgery is a dispensing practice and provides this service to approximately 85% of their patients. The practice also has support of some Advanced Paramedic Practitioner sessions, funded outside the practice budget, in partnership with the Welsh Ambulance Trust. Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board recognises the importance of the Welsh language to the communities it serves. Consequently, responses to an invitation to quote or tender will be accepted in Welsh as well as English. Those involved in translating the document will be barred from taking decisions on awarding tenders. The tender will be awarded based on 100% quality as detailed in the ITT document.
