Abstract

Hywel Dda Health Board ("HDUHB") has awarded a contract for the provision of Cisco network switches and associated hardware within the Health Board. The requirement needs to be in placed by promptly to avoid any potential disastrous consequences should any faults arise on old equipment which will be unsupported within the next 10 months. Additionally, the Health Board are looking to include the provision of Cisco C9200L switches which will be utilised across HDUHB to replace current switches which are already end of life and can no longer accept security updates or have supported provided should a fault occur, exposing the Health Board to significant risk with the systems run through these switches. This hardware facilitates the simplification of the complex networks, optimized information technology and reduced operational costs by leveraging intelligence and automation to allow the connection of edge devices to the site local area network. The Health Trust Europe ("HTE") ICT Solutions Three (3) framework agreement (ComIT3 - HTE-011006) is compliant with UK/EU procurement legislation and provides a compliant route to source entire information communication technology and digitisation requirements across the complete IT vendor and value-added reseller landscape ranging from hardware, software, cybersecurity and computer science solutions.
