Abstract

Hywel Dda Health Board ("HDUHB") has awarded a contract for the provision of a JSCAPE Professional Edition Subscription Licence within the Health Board. This contract provides HDUHBs Digital Services Team with a subscription to facilitate the running of their own secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) server onsite. The SFTP server is utilised to transfer files or data between different clinical systems to provide full visibility and governance with a full audit log on the critical clinical information transferred. The software solution will become an essential element of the Health Boards data exchange process allowing files to be correctly based from one clinical system to another as effectively and efficiently as possible, whilst also flagging issues with the file transfer process to ensure the continuity of information passed between systems. Additionally, the manged file transfer (MFT) licence is pivotal with regards to Cyber Security ensuring the process is configured appropriately to prevent possible data breaches and detect rogue files. This requirement is essential to ensure the Health Board are transferring files between clinical systems appropriately whilst limiting HDUHBs vulnerability with regards to data breaches and guaranteeing compliance with Cyber Security standards. The National Procurement Service (NPS) IT Products and Services (ii) framework agreement (NPS-ICT-0094-19) is compliant with UK/EU procurement legislation and provides a compliant route to source software, licencing and cloud services/products including open source or off the shelf, along with associated services, such as design, integration, asset management and training. This framework includes several potential providers who have achieved inclusion on the framework following a qualification process and procurement approached a supplier with links to the Welsh economy.
