Abstract
We are seeking a qualified and experienced consultant to carry out a comprehensive evaluation of the RSPB Cymru and Tir Canol project, Changing Tides: A community guide to a resilient coast. This project aims to create a co-designed management strategy handbook to support resilience against climate-induced sea-level rise. Focusing on the Dyfi Estuary, a UNESCO Biosphere reserve of international ecological importance, the project will interrogate both the predicted ecological challenges of the future, alongside an engagement with the issues which will compound these, including aging infrastructure and socio-economic challenges.
This commission, funded by the NLHF Nature Networks Fund 3 and let by the RSPB, will involve gathering baseline data, developing an evaluation framework, conducting formative and summative evaluation, upskilling the community in evaluation methods, and ultimately producing an accessible final report.
The appointed consultant will require previous relevant experience of producing similar studies the NLHF; experience of working with organisations with a national remit; a track record of delivering high value services; and other experience and qualifications as outlined in the Consultation Brief document.
