This Invitation to Tender (the ITT) relates to a Term Service Contract for the installation and maintenance of Road Restraint Systems (Vehicle and Pedestrian) under which Wrexham County Borough Council intends to deliver works up to the value of £150,000 per scheme across the Authority’s respective administrative area (the Contract Area).

The contract will primarily be used to deliver within the designated area. The projects will involve the maintenance and provision of highway related road markings within Wrexham County Borough.

The majority of works on the Trunk Road network will be carried out between the hours of 19.00 and 06.00, and the Term Service Contractor shall ensure that they have the resources available to meet this requirement.

As part of our Partner Authority agreement with the North and Mid Wales Trunk Road Agency (NMWTRA) WCBC are required to effect a permanent repair of a damaged section of vehicle restraint system within seven days of the damage happening. The Term Service Contractor shall be required to resource a repair to meet this deadline.

It is anticipated that the Contract will commence in July 2024.

The estimated value of the contract is anticipated to be up to £300,000 per annum, with up to £200,000 per annum involving work on the Trunk Road network. The total estimated value of the contract is £1.2m.
