II.1.4) Short description
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) is seeking to appoint a single regulated supplier to deliver a dedicated emergency ambulance support service to facilitate patient transfers between the Alternative Landing Site (ALS) and Ysbyty Gwynedd during a temporary helipad infrastructure project.
The requirement is for the provision of a double-crewed Advanced Life Support (ALS) capable emergency ambulance, operating between 09:00 and 23:00, seven (7) days per week, for an anticipated period of 30 weeks. The appointed supplier must ensure the safe and timely transfer of patients conveyed by Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), including those presenting with time-critical and high-acuity conditions.
The service must be fully compliant with all relevant regulatory requirements, including HIW registration (or equivalent where applicable), medicines management controls, clinical governance standards and infection prevention requirements. The supplier must demonstrate appropriate staffing competence, operational resilience and integration with local emergency care pathways.
