A key outcome for all young people leaving care is that they are provided with the support they need to make a successful transition to adulthood and move towards more independent living.
Bridgend Council are commissioning a range of supported accommodation and semi-independent options (step down accommodation) to offer young people the opportunity to live more independently whilst still having staff and young people around. The aim of the service is to develop young people’s independent living skills and work towards their goals in education, training, employment and other areas of their life. Allowing Young People the chance to have more than one opportunity to succeed.
Bridgend Council are looking to appoint 2 providers to deliver supported and step down accommodation. This service does not relate to requiring registration under the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016

Moving directly from placement to living independently will often be too big a step for young people, so Bridgend Council are commissioning a service to help strengthen care leavers pathway to independence in a planned and informed way, providing the necessary support they need to make a successful transition to adulthood and move towards independent living.
Bridgend Council requires a 24 hour supported accommodation and step down accommodation with a highly skilled provider who has the knowledge, experience and ability to respond to young people’s support needs. The service will help support young people to develop the independent living skills and work towards their goals in education, training, employment and other areas of life.
Please note this service does not relate to requiring registration under the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016.

Bridgend Council are commissioning a service to respond to care leavers whose placement is at risk of breaking down. Bridgend Council requires a 24 hour supported accommodation and step down accommodation with a highly skilled provider who has the knowledge, experience and ability to respond to young people’s support needs. The service may include young people who have recently entered care or supported through a care and support plan and there are still ongoing assessments taking place and limited information available.
The provider must be able to deliver a reactive and intensive support service to young people who may have complex needs. The service will help support young people to develop the independent living skills and work towards their goals in education, training, employment and other areas of life.
Please note this service does not relate to requiring registration under the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016.
